THE DUKE OF BUCKINGHAM AND CHANDOS. MEMOIRS OF THE COURTS AND CABINETS OF WILLIAM IV. AND VICTORIA. FROM ORIGINAL FAMILY DOCUMENTS. Published by Hurst and Blackett, London. 1861. Two volume set sumptuously bound in full green calf with two engraved frontispieces. 1st edition, 8vo, pp. 401, 429. Double gilt fillet borders on boards; raised bands to spines with delicate gilt floral patterns, marbled eps & foredges. "Bickers & Sons, London" (binders) name stamped on second fep of each volume. Front hinge on volume I starting.  Although fep not split, the frontispiece is a bit loose. Moderate wear to bottom edges of boards with bumping to extremities. Boards show light scuffing but no significant gouges, or other blemishes. Gilt lettering to leather spine labels bright and clean, as are the spines generally. Internally, the pages are a bit age-toned, but otherwise very clean. Some off-setting of the frontispieces to the title pages. Overall, the set is in quite good condition and looks most attractive on the shelf. Inventory #27818
