Contains two engraved frontispieces, and 71 full page engraved plates by Cockburn, Irton, Bartlett, Leitch and Wolfensburger. Tissue guard present facing most plates, on which has occured some off-setting.
Occasional foxing throughout. Bound in original green calf, heavily ornamented in gilt, with gilt edges. The binding has been recently professionally repaired, but still shows heavy scuffing, edge wear, and some soiling. 1st edition.
